1. Product specification
Start with the product or reference, intended function, overall dimensions and any fixed construction details. Note which parts are mandatory and which can be adapted. For furniture-led products, include finish, upholstery, openings, cushions, hardware or assembly requirements where relevant. For textile and woven products, include fabric or woven direction, fill, trim, color and care expectations.
2. Market and channel
State the destination market and buyer channel. A product for a distributor, specialty retailer, marketplace seller or private-label brand may need different packaging, labeling and documentation. Market information also affects which testing or compliance questions must be reviewed.
3. Quantity and commercial scope
Provide an estimated quantity range instead of asking for a universal MOQ. Quantity can affect materials, packaging, printing methods and production planning. MOQ, sample timing and lead time are confirmed after the specification and commercial scope are understood.
4. Packaging and shipping inputs
Tell us whether the product needs retail packaging, e-commerce packaging, barcode or labeling requirements, assembly instructions, compression or knock-down consideration, and any carton constraints from your channel or warehouse. Packaging can materially change landed cost and damage risk.
5. Testing and compliance
Do not assume one certificate fits every market. Share the destination country, retailer requirements and any known standards or restricted-substance expectations. Testing needs are then reviewed against the actual material and product specification.
